Venus hits 176 g/t gold at Youanmi

Infill drilling at the emerging Grace prospect adjacent to the Youanmi mill in WA’s Goldfields has thrown up more stellar gold intercepts for the ASX-listed JV partners, Venus Metals and Rox Resources, including 2m at 176.03 g/t from 28m, within a total interval of 4m at 88.81 g/t gold from 27m.  The current drill program is extending the limits of the shallow deposit ahead of an estimate of contained resources with further, deeper results still pending.

Rox recently exercised an option to move to 70 per cent of the Youanmi project and it will now essentially free carry Venus for the rest up until a decision to mine. Rox is now doing the heavy lifting at the project and turning up some uber-rich rewards around the emerging Grace deposit, within spitting distance of the Youanmi mill.

Other results from the latest round of assays from 49 drill holes include 11m at 18.75 g/t gold from 8m, including 3m at 61.27 g/t and 9m at 9.28 g/t gold from 9m down-hole, including 2m at 33.53 g/t.  A third result returned 4m at 7.56 g/t gold from 17m.  Another 15 holes are still awaiting assay results.

Rox Resources Managing Director, Alex Passmore said the new results from Grace, along with other outstanding RC assays, will be complemented by upcoming diamond drilling to facilitate a maiden resource estimate due to hit the streets later this year.
