Venus Metals and Rox Resources have revealed that 1m interval drilling assays from their Currans Find North gold discovery near Youanmi, WA, have provided significant upgrades to the initial 4m composite samples tabled earlier this month. New high-grade results included 3m @ 32.58g/t gold from 115m and 4m @ 9.25g/t gold from 46m down-hole, which contained a 2-metre section at 16.05g/t gold from 48m.
Venus Metals and Rox Resources this week revealed that one-metre interval drilling assays from their emerging Currans Find North gold discovery near Youanmi, WA, provide a significant upgrade to the initial four-metre composite samples tabled earlier this month.
New high-grade results included 3 metres grading 32.58g/t gold from 115m down-hole, incorporating a single metre at nearly 2.5 ounces to the tonne gold from the same depth.
An additional intersection nearby turned up 4m @ 9.25g/t gold from 46m down-hole, which contained a 2-metre section at 16.05g/t gold from 48m.
Other holes from the Stage 1 and Stage 2 reverse circulation, or “RC”, drilling programs at the prospect produced individual metre intersections grading 72.67g/t gold from 39m down-hole and 57.15g/t gold from 110m.
The companies indicated that gold mineralisation at Currans Find is hosted in multiple east northeast-trending quartz veins, within greenstone rock sequences across the prospect.
These same sequences envelop Spectrum’s Penny West, Penny North and Columbia-Magenta deposits, located to the south of Currans Find.
Recently, the companies completed a short Stage 3 program of RC drilling at the project, with all assay results pending at this point.
In June, Venus and Rox formalised four separate joint venture agreements within the Youanmi region.
The Currans Find JV agreement covers a historical, three square kilometre mining lease that produced just over 6,000 tons grading nearly half an ounce to the ton gold in the early 1900s.
Drilling results thus far have been strongly encouraging, with gold mineralisation now uncovered down-plunge of the artisanal surface workings that dot the area.
