Coziron Resources has recently vectored in on gold mineralisation at the Top Camp prospect at its Croydon project in the Pilbara with one 8m drill intercept going 10.2g/t gold, including 1m at 66.1g/t. Coziron’s technical team is now joining the dots from its Top Camp gold prospect to De Grey Mining’s exciting new Hemi gold discovery, via a geological feature Coziron calls the Tabba Tabba shear zone.
The Tabba Tabba shear zone is a major structural feature within the Mallina basin that divides terrains in the basement of the Pilbara. It also appears to control the areas and types of sediments in the Mallina Basin and the localisation of later stage, granitic intrusions.
The best recent drill intercepts at ASX-listed De Grey Mining’s Hemi prospect was 44m @ 5.1 g/t gold from 40m down hole and 46m going 6.6 g/t gold from 92m. De Grey already boasts a combined resource of almost 1.7Moz of gold across its two mining centres, Withnell and Wingina and that is before the new Hemi discovery is factored in.
Coziron Chairman, Adam Sierakowski said: “The follow-up geochemistry on the high- grade intersection in CRC007 and other encouraging intercepts from the Company’s maiden drill program at Top Camp provides a framework to compare the style and setting of mineralisation in the regional geology with other global intrusion-related gold provinces.”

The major new discovery at DeGrey’s Hemi prospect on the Tabba Tabba sheer zone represents an opportunity for major new interpretive work and no doubt the swag of Pilbara exploration hopefuls that are operating in the region will now become hyper-focussed on this lucrative looking structural feature and how it controls the geology in the region.
Coziron’s location at the end of the Tabba Tabba sheer zone may well throw up some future geological surprises for the ASX-listed small cap.
