David is a practising emergency medicine consultant with 39 years’ medical experience, including 30 years as a consultant, predominantly in Perth. Currently as a clinical associate professor of emergency medicine at Curtin University, David has published more than 50 research papers, primarily focused on emergency medicine health systems and diagnostic pathways. He has previously served as President of AMA WA, as an AMA federal councillor, and has held senior roles with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. David has a longstanding interest in public hospital policy, patient flow and health system performance.
