Vocus has made an up-front payment of $6.275 million in cash with a further payment of $725,000 due if the business exceeds forecasts for the 2012 financial year.
PerthIX operates a 536 square metre facility in the Perrth CBD and has 86 customers, including telecommunications carriers and internet service providers.
Vocus said the acquisition was expected to add $1.5 million to its underlying earnings (before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) in the 2012 financial year.
PerthIX's general manager Adam Gardner will continue to run the Perth facility.
Vocus is an independent wholesale telecommunications and data centre operator with facilities in Australia and New Zealand.
