The state’s largest locally-owned lender, Police & Nurses, has today officially changed its name to P&N Bank.
The lender said 11 branches would be re-branded as of today, with the remaining branches to be re-named by March 20.
“By changing our name to P&N Bank we have dispelled the myth that our customers have to be a member of the police or the nursing sector,” chief executive Fred Huis said.
“P&N Bank exists for those people who recognize that member-owned banking provides a competitive range of products and services, fairer fees and rates, a wide ATM network, exceptional member service and the same government guarantees as the big banks.”
The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority gave its approval to the re-branding in January.
