Western Australian helicopter company Heliwest has secured a contract for BHP Billiton's Rapid Growth Project 5 in the Pilbara.

Wholly owned and operated West Australian company, Heliwest, is proud to announce the successful deployment of helicopter services this month in support of BHP Billiton's Rapid Growth Project 5 (RGP5) located in Western Australia's Pilbara region.
Heliwest will provide aircraft, crew and maintenance to deliver Aero Medical services to BHP Billiton, in support of the project.
The company has deployed a Bell 206 Longranger helicopter to the project and will later upgrade to the high performance twin engine Eurocopter BO-105 LS3.
Chief Executive Officer, David Grimes, said that securing this contract is a significant win for Heliwest, and that the company is very pleased to have been selected to provide this essential support service.
Mr Grimes said that the company's success in securing this contract is a testament to Heliwest's commitment to excellence in safety, quality standards and service delivery.
He said that since Heliwest's incorporation in 1992, the company has grown to become a major provider of helicopter services to the resources industry, government, private and tourism sectors in Western Australia.
