The Department of Education has started the process to find a builder for a new high school to be built in Perth’s northern corridor at Banksia Grove.

The school will have places for up to 1,450 children from years seven to 12, general manager Tony Naughtin said.

The Department has requested tenders from interested builders.

The total site covers more than ten hectares, with construction scheduled to commence in August.

The school is expected to open in 2015.
