Nortel Networks was the preferred supplier to provide $3.5 million worth of equipment for phase one of the new network which will support new teaching programs.
ECU appointed AlphaWest as its technology partner for the project management, supply and implementation of the new LAN network across the state.
AlphaWest network services manager Sharon Brown said the company established a team of more than fifty engineers and support staff to implement the network.
“The team worked together over weekends and after hours to complete the project in just five weeks,” Ms Brown said.
