Boyes Equipment SVS was established in 1999 in a small workshop in Boulder.  The business organically expanded as the demand for their services grew and the business moved to larger premises in West Kalgoorlie in 2005.

Boyes Equipment SVS are mining and civil contractors who service the Metalliferous Mining and Civil Contractor Market Sectors.  The business services, repairs and rebuilds underground or surface mining equipment, heavy trucks and other machinery.  They have expertise in Caterpillar, Komatsu, Dieci, Volvo and most makes and models of open cut or underground machinery and are the dealer/support agent for Dieci. Their workshop also performs component rebuilds, fabrication, lineboring, sandblasting and painting to all kinds of heavy machinery & vehicles.

While their client’s equipment is being repaired Boyes offers hire of a range of items including loaders, telehandlers and boggers to ensure the client can run their operations with minimal downtime.

The business has an extensive and well-maintained fleet of field service vehicles including a 150 tonne track press and 100 tonne track press, which enables them to execute repairs on site for their customer.  The business also has Isuzu Boilermaker trucks fully equipped for immediate on-site repairs.

The business currently employs 47 people including highly experienced mechanics, boilermakers, electricians & lineborers providing expert workmanship, from minor repairs to full machinery restoration and rebuilds.  Their extensive workforce allows them to offer around the clock servicing to suit the needs of the client any time of the day or night.

Boyes is the preferred supplier for many companies in the Goldfields as their excellent service of in-the-field repairs means minimal downtime for their clients and the business offers an outstanding warranty program to back up their workmanship.

The business is ideally located on a 15,000m2 block with large concrete coverage providing loads of room to expand as the need arises. The owners are offering a solid 5 x 5 lease with options for the premises which includes 3 good-sized workshops: workshop 1 - 50m x 25m, workshop 2 - 36m x 25m & workshop 3 - 15m x 12m.

The business is showing sales in the vicinity of $10-11 million and although there has been a softer market in the mining industry in the last few years, the excellent reputation of Boyes Equipment SVS has shielded them from a downturn in revenue. The business continues to provide great service to their customers ensuring their customer retention level is high.

The current owner believes there are many opportunities for growth but under the current structure the owner is limited with his time to develop further progression strategies & has restricted funding/capital. An incoming purchaser, be it a private operator or Corporation with a strong Balance Sheet & ability to fund an Operations Manager could easily take advantage and develop further opportunities. The seller is prepared to mentor the new owners for a mutually agreeable period of time as required.

Asking $4,200,000 Leasehold which includes a stock component of approx $1.2 million and a plant & equipment component of approximately $2.1 million.
