Buck turns into Mellon

SUPERANNUATION administration and consulting firm NSP Buck officially launched its new office and new name in Perth last week.

NSP Buck is adopting the branding of its US parent, Mellon Financial Corporation.

Along with Mercer, NSP Buck is the largest provider of corporate superannuation services in Western Australia.

This includes administration of corporate funds, with clients including the Water Corporation and Foodland Associated.

It also runs the Future Link corporate master trust, for companies that want to fully outsource their superannuation.

State manager Adrienne Heal emphasised the group offered a broad range of consulting and advisory services, including employee share plans and financial planning.

This allowed it to customise solutions to suit the needs of different clients.

The group’s origins in WA date back to Perth-based Allied Superannuation, which built a successful corporate super business.

Allied merged with Buck Consultants in 1998 and the two subsequently merged with NSP Lewis in 1999.

Mellon has owned the group since 2001.
