Perth longest running Careers Expo receive national recognition at the Australian Business Event Association (ABEA) awards in Sydney on 10 December 2024. The expo was named a finalist for Best Sustainability Initiative - social and cultural Award for its partnership with zero2hero that promotes youth mental health and suicide prevention.
Keen2Connect CEO and event organiser Nigel Keen also received the Industry Award from Tourism Australia for his personal contributions to the Business events industry. “It’s an honour to receive recognition at a national level among industry peers and for our work with zero2hero,” said Mr Keen.
“This recognition reflects Keen2Connect’s commitment to live events that not only help our clients achieve their business goals but also drive positive social benefits, educating and inspiring our visitors beyond the event itself.”
The inaugural 2024 Australian Business Event Association awards recognised the exceptional work of its members and highlighted the events, products, services, initiatives, and teams that are delivering best practice.
The Careers Expo, which focuses on education, training, employment, hosts over 100 local and national organisations, attracting more than 12,000 visitors annually.
Mr Keen expressed excitement for this year’s event, with new exhibitors and show features designed to enhance the visitor experience.
"A highlight is the new event app, available four weeks before the expo," he said.
“This feature allows attendees to plan their visit and provides exhibitors with a seamless platform to showcase their offerings through marketing and video content.”
The app also supports the expo’s sustainability efforts.
In addition to exhibitor information, visitors can explore the interactive floorplan and view the Future You Knowledge stage schedule, reducing the need for printed materials.
Careers Expo is free to visitors and will be held at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Level 1 in Pavilions 4 & 5 between Thursday 15 May – Sunday 18 May. It is open from 9am on Thursday and Friday and from 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
