SilverYachts is the trading name of Henderson company Hanseatic Marine Engineering, and is a builder of luxury superyachts. The business was established in 2005 by German industrialist Guido Krass, who selected Henderson as the best place globally to build aluminium superyachts.
The company has completed four superyachts, with Silver and Silver Zwei measuring 73.5 metres in length, followed by Smerelda and Silver Fast measuring 77 metres in length. The company is currently building an 84.8 metre explorer vessel named Silver Loft, and has developed a concept for a 100 metre superyacht named Silver Global.
The company has 150 employees, according to its web site. All of its vessels are designed by Monaco-based naval architect Espen Oeino. Mr Krass heads Pari Group, described as a diversified non-consolidated group of independent companies partially or some times fully owned by the family of Mr Krass.
