Jamie Allardice will fill the position as general manager, commercial and customer at Fremantle Ports from October 9. Mr Allardice has 25 years of experience in commercial and supply chain management, procurement and business development within markets across Australia, Europe and Asia. He will join Fremantle Ports from Toll Group where he has served a three year tenure first as state manager then as vice president, global forwarding.

Equinox Resources has appointed Zekai (Zac) Komur as chief executive, bringing his more than two decades of experience in the resources industry to the company. Mr Komur has held senior management roles at BHP, INPEX, Fortescue Metals Group and Northvolt. He played a pivotal role in the commissioning and start-up of Europe's first Gigafactory at Northvolt in Sweden applying his skills and experience in battery cathode active materials manufacturing. At Fortescue, Mr Komur worked as head of commercialisation.

City of Melville has unveiled the promotion of Gail Bowman to chief executive, confirming she will step into this role on November 20 following the conclusion of Marten Tieleman’s five-year term. Ms Bowman has served as director community development at City of Melville for just over one year and upon this appointment, she will become the City’s first female CEO. Prior to joining the local government body in 2022, Ms Bowman worked at City of Cockburn for 24 years. Here she served in a variety of roles including chief of community services, executive manager strategy and governance, manager community development and manager human services.

Short Back and Sidewalks appoints three new directors to its board to bolster the not-for-profit’s strategic growth. Alison Xamon currently works as a lawyer and formerly served as the WA Greens Member of the Legislative Council for North Metropolitan Region from 2017 to 2021. Kate O'Hara has worked as Foodbank WA chief executive for the past two years, and previously worked at Hawaiian for more than 17 years, serving in the dual-role of director and chief brand officer for the latter decade of that time. Rebecca Smith works at Brownes Dairy as general manager of marketing and previously held similar roles at frank green, ThankyouAUS and L’Oreal.

Delta Lithium's executive chairman David Flanagan has been ousted from the explorer's board and replaced by MinRes boss Chris Ellison. The company's lithium chief Josh Thurlow has been stationed as a non-executive director. Mr Flanagan joined Delta Lithium as executive chairman about 12 months ago.  The surprise boardroom commotion comes about one month after MinRes confirmed it had been buying up stock in the lithium explorer via a subsidiary since April.

Former WA Football Commission chairman and ex-hospital boss Neale Fong has been appointed chair of the troubled Western Australian Institute of Sport. Also appointed to the board are former deputy police commissioner Gary Dreibergs, former senior public servant Darren Foster and Hockey WA boss Fabian Ross. This comes after nine members out of the 10-person strong board recently resigned, leaving only Jennifer McGrath, a deputy director general at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
