ASX-listed data centre DC Two has announced Jesper Sentow as interim, part-time chief financial officer following the resignation of Bradley Goodsell. Mr Goodsell has resigned after a two-year tenure with Mr Sentow filling the vacancy while the company continues its search to secure a permanent CFO. Mr Sentow is a finance professional with expertise in strategic planning, risk management, financial management, IT management and business acquisitions. He has previously held senior finance roles in WA, including at Henderson-based Cranecorp Australia, as well as beyond the state at Queensland-based HSE Mining and Denmark-based East Asiatic Company.

Diabetes Research WA has appointed Caitlin Fox-Harding as its new manager, bringing her more than 15 years’ experience in health and sport to the research funding organisation. Dr Fox-Harding holds a PhD in Exercise and Sport Science. She currently works as a lecturer at Edith Cowan University’s School of Medical and Health Sciences and additionally conducts research at ECU’s Exercise Medicine Research Institute (EMRI). Prior to assuming her current roles at ECU, Dr Fox-Harding represented Australia in the Olympic sport of fencing and served as the Australian Fencing Federation operations and high-performance manager for four years.

Maureen Lewis has been recruited as Mental Health Commissioner for the state, commencing a five-year tenure from July 1. Ms Lewis has worked in a variety of leading roles within the mental health sector, most recently working at the Child and Adolescent Health Service as executive director of mental health services. Ms Lewis has also served as WA Mental Health Commission assistant commissioner policy, planning and strategy, and as National Mental Health Commission deputy and interim chief executive. In her new role, Ms Lewis is set to lead the improvement of mental health and wellbeing across WA.

Matthew Howard will start as a judge on the Supreme Court of Western Australia bench on July 17. Mr Howard has been acting Parliamentary Inspector for the Corruption and Crime Commission of WA since 2016. He has more than 30 years of experience in litigation practice, having had a commercial and public law practice but also taking briefs in criminal law. Mr Howard started his legal career as an articled clerk at the Crown Solicitor’s office in 1989 before being admitted to practice in WA at the end of that year. He is a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers and was appointed senior counsel in 2009. Mr Howard chaired the Legal Practice Board of WA and Law Access WA.

Australian Finance Group has promoted Lisa Bevan as its chief operating officer. Ms Bevan joined AFG as company secretary 25 years ago and was with the company as it grew from a Perth start-up to an ASX 300 entity. AFG general counsel Michelle Palethorpe will be taking over the company secretary role while retaining her current role leading the legal team. Sam McCready will step into a newly created role of AFG chief customer experience and digital transformation officer. Mr McCready joins from Racing & Wagering WA, where he had been for six years. He was most recently the chief transformation officer at Racing & Wagering WA.

Business advisory firm Moore Australia has promoted nine Perth-based staff out of 21 appointments across its offices nationwide. Moore Australia WA associate director of corporate finance Carmin Johnson has been promoted to director of corporate finance, while associate director Tanya Browning has stepped up to be a director in the firm’s local government advisory service. Governance and Risk Advisory associate director Nick Goosen has started as director. Thomas Cusmano, Chris Dickie, Katherine Gardner, Miles Jacob, and Ilonka Spaeth have been promoted to associate directors in Moore’s tax and business advisory division. James Arthur has been promoted to associate director in the firm’s audit section.
