Richard Tester is a proud Aboriginal leader and the Founder and Managing Director of Red Invest Capital Holdings, a diversified Indigenous-owned group operating across construction, engineering, recruitment, renewables, architecture and asset management. With more than 25 years’ experience in engineering, infrastructure and project delivery, Richard has built a reputation for delivering complex projects across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors throughout Australia and internationally.
Before establishing Red Invest, Richard held senior leadership roles with RCR Tomlinson, Gravity Cranes, OTOC Australia and ThyssenKrupp Materials Handling, overseeing major construction, maintenance and fabrication projects for clients including FMG, BHP and Port Waratah Coal Services across Australia and China. He has also led projects throughout Qatar, Germany, the UAE and Africa.
Under Richard’s leadership, Red Invest has grown to include businesses such as Red Arrow Australia (labour hire and recruitment), Ironstone Australia (civil and electrical construction), Green Arrow Energy (renewables and battery energy solutions), RASP Australia (engineering and survey), Radian Architecture and SAMSA Australia. Guided by the belief that “Our people don’t just deserve a seat at the table, but an opportunity to build the table,” Richard remains deeply committed to creating long-term opportunities for First Nations people through employment, mentoring and leadership pathways.
