Department of Defence Account Director, Australia and New Zealand, AECOM
Oliver is AECOM’s Department of Defence Account Director for Australia and New Zealand, responsible for aligning AECOM’s full-service capabilities with Defence priorities and supporting the broader Defence ecosystem across the region. He brings a blend of operational discipline, strategic insight, and delivery expertise drawn from leadership roles across Defence, engineering, and major infrastructure programs.
A Chartered Mechanical Engineer and former British Army Engineering Officer, Oliver served 12 years in the military, including multiple operational tours. He has extensive experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects across the full project lifecycle, with particular strengths in program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and leadership in high-consequence environments. His recent project experience includes delivery leadership on the RAAF Learmonth Electrical Infrastructure Upgrades, RAAF Curtin Redevelopment, and HMAS Stirling NCIS-4A.
Oliver holds a Master of Engineering (Naval Architecture) (Honours) and a Master of Science in Military Construction Engineering. Beyond his role at AECOM, he is a strong advocate for veteran employment and is the founder of Force Contracts, a social enterprise supporting veterans into construction careers through apprenticeships and industry pathways.
