Spadaccini Homes, property leaders awarded

Custom builder Spadacinni Homes has again been recognised for its North Beach luxury home, as part of the Housing Industry Association WA Awards.

The home was named HIA Perth home of the year by the industry body at its awards on Saturday, where it was also named custom home build of the year.

Earlier this year, the three-storey home won the Master Builders Association top home award. 

The awards also recognised Humphrey Homes for the most innovative house for its Swanbourne project, Arklen for innovation in light weight housing and Exclusive Residence for its renovation work.

HIA also hosted the WA kitchen and bathroom awards, where Giorgi was recognised for the bathroom in its Peppermint Grove home and Carmen Hansberry Design won the kitchen design of the year.

The Property Council of Australia WA Division hosted its annual awards on Friday, where Brookfield’s state manger Alison Beamish won the property leader of the year award.

Ray White Commercial WA’s Brett Wilkins won the property agent of the year, for his involvement in more than 40 transactions valued at more than $1.475 billion in 2021-22.

JLL’s Laura Cowley was named the Stan Perron future leader of the year and JLL’s CORE Fund and IRAPT team won the WA property team of the year award.

Cygnet West’s Michelle Lambley won the property manager of the year award and property group Hawaiian won the best community engagement for its giving box initiative.

Perron Group took out the award for the best community activation with its Belmont Forum SecondBite celebrity cook-off, as well as the best diversity and inclusion initiative for its international day of people with disabilities, also at Belmont Forum.

Adrian Fini and Ben Lisle-led developer Hesperia notched an innovation award and the best property sales marketing campaign for its Rivermark project, and best new commercial development for the ABN office building.

Apartment developer Edge Visionary Living scooped the prize for the best residential development with its Eden Floreat project.

Brookfield Properties won the best commercial retail operation with Brookfield Place and Hames Sharley and Humich Group won the best commercial fit out and refurbishment with the Hames Sharley Perth office.

Vicinity Centres won the best retail marketing campaign with its Monopoly shop and win campaign and Fratelle won best community infrastructure with the Koolangka kids bridge.

Stockland won the best masterplanned community with its Calleya development in Treeby and Sirona Urban and the City of Fremantle won the best mixed use development with Walyalup Koort.

Sirona Urban also won best retail development with its FOMO project in Fremantle.

AMP Capital’s Karrinyup Shopping Centre won best retail development over 76 stores.

Realside Ovest, run by Julie Drago and Mark Vonic won the best industrial development for 49 Nardine Close.
