Ashley Zumwalt-Forbes has resigned as an alternate director for Rhett Bennett at Black Mountain Energy.

Caeneus Minerals has appointed Nicholas Poll as an executive director. Mr Poll is a resources executive with over 30 years of experience in managing early-stage exploration projects through to the development stage and into full production. His appointment comes as the company focuses on increasing its level of exploration activity across the various projects. Current chief executive Robert Mosig has not renewed his contract with the company but will remain with the company until the end of the year, and both Peter Christie and Teow Kim Chng have stepped down from the board.

Firefinch has appointed Scott Lowe as managing director from 17 October. Mr Lowe is a senior mining executive with over 35 years of mining experience covering a wide range of commodities and countries. He has also worked in a number of African jurisdiction which is beneficial as the company is looking to ramp up its Morila Gold Project to become an ASX-listed gold producer. Andrew Taplin, who has been acting CEO, will resume as the company’s chief operating officer when Mr Lowe commences as MD.

Great Southern Mining has appointed Matthew Keane as managing director, and Kathleen Bozanic has retired as an independent non-executive director having served on the board since April 2018. Mr Keane is a geologist with over 20 years of experience in mining, exploration and financial markets. He has worked in various technical, operational and corporate roles including exploration and mine geology, scheduling and design, resource and reserve estimation, production management, mergers and acquisitions.

Alex Cheeseman has resigned as chief executive of Morella Corporation. Mr Cheeseman has been with the company since 2016 and was appointed to the CEO role in April 2021. He will end his tenure on 7 October. Morella does not intend to fill the position, with the CEO duties being absorbed by the managing director and other executives.

Adrian Griffin has resigned as non-executive chair of Parkway Corporate, and recently appointed non-executive director Stephen van der Sluys will become a non-executive chair. Mr Griffin was the founding chair of the company.

Pinnacle Minerals has appointed Nic Mtich as chief executive. Mr Matich is a mechanical engineer and finance professional with over 15 years of experience in the resources sector. He has provided engineering, risk consulting and insurance services to numerous tier 1 mining companies with operations in mineral sands, kaolin, iron ore, gold and zinc.

Western Mines Group has appointed Dr Ben Grguric as technical director. Dr Grguric has extensive experience in mineral exploration and scientific research, with direct involvement in a number of gold and nickel discoveries over the last 30 years. He is an independent consultant to several listed exploration and mining companies, and has been consulting to WMG since August 2022.
