Michael McCormack has resigned as a non-executive director of Austal. He has been on the board since 2020 and will depart the company on 31 March.

BHP has appointed Don Lindsay as non-executive director from May, and Ian Cockerill will be retiring as a non-executive director on 4 April to focus on his executive role as chief executive and executive director of Endeavour Mining. Mr Lindsay has over 35 years of experience in the resources sector and in investment banking.

Burgundy Diamond Mines has appointed Jeremy King as non-executive director from 2 April. Mr King is a founding director of a boutique advisory service that supports companies with legal, finance and corporate matters. He has over 25 years of experience and has been serving on numerous ASX-listed boards. He rejoins the company having previously been on the board from 2016 to 2021.

Mark Hohnen will transition from non-executive chair to executive chair of Canyon Resources from April. The appointment taps into Mr Hohnen’s considerable experience in the mineral resources sector, and particularly the development of mining projects in Africa.

Carnarvon Energy has appointed Robert Black as non-executive director from 2 April, and Gavin Ryan will step down from the board on that date. Mr Black was previously managing director of diversified financial services company Euroz Hartleys (formerly Euroz Securities). He brings a deep understanding of Australian securities markets, with three decades of experience in stockbroking and equity capital markets. From July, Mr Black will take over from William Foster as non-executive chair, with Mr Foster remaining on the board as a non-executive director until a suitably qualified director has been appointed.

Geoff Newman has resigned as chief executive of Dynamic Group Holdings, with the company appointing current executive director Matt Freedman as chief executive & managing director from 5 April. Mr Freedman has been with the company since 2018 and has been involved across all areas of the business including its IPO in 2020 and its acquisitions of Orlando Drilling, Welldrill, and Airwell Flow Testing.

NickelSearch has made some changes to its board and management structure with the appointments of current non-executive chair Mark Connelly as executive chair, current company secretary Suzie Foreman as non-executive director, and experienced geologist Jon McLoughlin as exploration manager. Mr McLoughlin has an extensive exploration, mining and management background spanning over 20 years across Australia and internationally, including greenfields and brownfields exploration, project development and mining. The company also advised that Nicole Duncan has stepped down as managing director. Ms Duncan was instrumental in facilitating land access agreements with a private landholder and two occupiers, enabling NickelSearch to advance its objectives including advancement of approvals for the inaugural drill program in and around the Quarry prospect.

The voluntary administrators of Panoramic Resources has advised that Peter Sullivan, Rebecca Hayward and Gillian Swaby have resigned as non-executive directors; Nick Cernotta as non-executive chair; and Susan Park will be resigning as company secretary at the end of March.

Mark Bolton has taken over from Robert Klug as non-executive chair of West Cobar Metals. Mr Bolton, non-executive director since February 2023, is the company’s largest shareholder. He is a corporate executive with over 30 years of experience in the resources sector.
