What? ~ Instatruck connects businesses and consumers with trucks on demand. A matching system makes it easier, faster and more reliable for businesses to get their goods delivered within capital cities.

 

Where? ~ Businesses can use the Instatruck app via the website www.instatruck.com.au, while consumers can use the app via iTunes or the App store. An android phone app will be released soon.  

 

Who? ~ Siobhan Lancaster and David Blomeley are co-founders of Instatruck. The founding tech team is Perth-based Bonobo Labs. Ms Lancaster is a corporate lawyer with commercial experience in mining, and Mr Blomeley has 20-plus years experience in the transportation industry.

News/Market ~ Instatruck was initially self funded, and then had some angel investment.

Among the markets they are pursuing are: (i) businesses that need their goods transported immediately; and (ii) the largely untapped market for individuals who want their goods delivered at the time of their choosing. The market for inner-city transportation of goods in Australia is $8.5 billion. 

Recently named as finalists for WA innovators of the year award.

Instatruck launched its app on June 10 2016 and is ranked #2  in BNiQ Startups list
