DevelopmentWA has appointed Len Kosova to its board, bringing more than 25 years of experience in local government across metropolitan and regional Western Australia. Mr Kosova has worked as chief executive at the City of Vincent and as planning director at the City of Wanneroo, City of Gosnells and Shire of Mundaring. In August 2019, Mr Kosova was appointed by the state government to serve as a commissioner at the City of Perth, a role he held until the new council was elected in October 2020. Mr Kosova works as director at LK Advisory.

Football West board director Amy Johnson has been elected as deputy chair while Sherif Andrawes being re-elected as chair. Ms Johnson joined the board as a director in 2018. For over a year, she has worked at the Department of Communities as director of planning and continuous improvement. Prior to this, Ms Johnson was self-employed as a marketing and media consultant, and has formerly worked in marketing specialist roles at Schlager Group, Bankwest, MLC Australia and National Australia Bank. Re-elected chair Mr Andrawes has been on the board since 2012 and was first voted to chair in 2019.

Centre for Stories chief executive and co-founder Caroline Wood has been selected as a board member for the new Australia Council Board of Creative Australia, alongside twelve other people from around the country. Ms Wood founded the Northbridge-based literary arts organisation Centre for Stories in 2015 to encourage story telling in WA. In the same year, she also co-founded Australian Short Story Festival. Ms Wood currently serves as a board member for theatre company Encounter, a role she has held since 2022, and brings other board director experience to her new position with Creative Australia.

City of Nedlands chief executive Bill Parker is set to become the new City of Wanneroo chief executive from December 4. Mr Parker has served at the helm of City of Nedlands since August 2021 and before this, he was City of Perth general manager corporate services. Mr Parker has previous experience working as chief executive for local governments, serving in the regions at the Shire of Denmark from 2016 to 2019 and at the Shire of Jerramungup from 2008 to 2015. Mr Parker will take over as City of Wanneroo chief executive from outgoing Daniel Simms who has served with the council for more than 21 years. Mr Simms will transition to become City of Cockburn chief executive in October.

Paul Andrew has been appointed as director people and culture at Catholic Education Western Australia, bringing his expansive experience in senior management positions to the organisation. For the past five years, Mr Andrew has worked as Catholic Homes chief executive and he currently serves as a council member for Catholic Social Services Western Australia. From 2015 to 2017, Mr Andrew was Lotterywest chief executive and before this, he was Surf Life Saving Western Australia chief executive for nearly ten years. Mr Andrew has commenced with Catholic Education WA immediately.

The Perth Mint finds a new chief executive in Keystart boss Paul Graham to take over from departing leader Jason Waters in November this year. Mr Graham currently serves as chief executive of Keystart, a role he has held for the best part of five years. He's due to take up his new posting with Perth Mint on November 20 and will fill the shoes of Jason Waters, who resigned from his position leading the organisation in May to become chief executive officer of Perth Airport.

The chief executive of Andrew and Nicola Forrest's agribusiness branch Harvest Road Group has resigned after just shy of three years in the role. Paul Slaughter was appointed to lead Harvest Road - which owns Harvey Beef - in November 2020. Prior to this, Mr Slaughter has worked as Mrs Mac’s Australia and New Zealand chief executive since 2015, and before that, he was director and general manager at Metcash, and national business manager at both Woolworths and Big W.
