Veris books Sydney motorway contract

Veris Australia has won work on the $2.7 billion M6 motorway project in Sydney in a contract it estimates will generate up to $8 million in revenue.

The Veris subsidiary will undertake project network control and survey work for tunnelling as part of the first stage of the M6 motorway in Sydney, under a contract venture between CPB Contractors, Ghella and UGL.

Veris estimates income from the work at between $5 million and $8 million over a 30-month period.

The company will work alongside its alliance partner Wumara Group, a majority indigenous-owned land and construction surveying company.

Veris Australia chief executive Michael Shirley said the contract marked a significant addition to the business's ongoing tunnel, road and rail projects.

“It demonstrates not only our specialist capability but also our capacity to deliver large infrastructure projects with major resourcing demands,” he said.

“It also continues our track record of recent infrastructure awards in Sydney and NSW, where we are continuing to build momentum in a geographic market with one of Australia’s largest pipelines of infrastructure works.”

Veris shares were up 1.45 per cent and trading at 7 cents.
