Leading plant technology provider ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions unveiled its newly expanded service centre in Henderson today.

The $10 million facility will serve as the Australian headquarters of the newly integrated company, which combined Uhde Shedden, Polysius and ThyssenKrupp Materials Handling at the start of this month.

The 1.5-hectare facility will be located near the Australian Marine Complex.

Managing director Greg Breakell said it was a milestone for the company.

“Our new Henderson service centre reinforces our commitment to Australia and our customer-centric approach,” he said.

“This unique combination of technology expertise and execution capability allows us to offer EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) projects as well as associated services from a single source.

“Customers have access to a country-wide network, following our strategy to set up regional locations to support them at various mine sites, while operating experienced engineering and support teams out of the service hub.”

ThyssenKrupp employs around 160,000 people internationally, with sales in 2012-13 of €39 billion.
