Taylor Woodings bought out by FTI Consulting

Global business advisory group FTI Consulting, best known in Perth for its public relations division, has acquired insolvency practictioner and corporate advisory firm Taylor Woodings.

The Taylor Woodings offices, located in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, will continue trading under the FTI banner.

Taylor Woodings employs around 80 staff across its offices.

FTI Asia-Pacific chairman Rod Sutton said the move would significantly expand the company’s geographic footprint and service offerings.

“Taylor Woodings is an exceptional complement to our existing capabilities and will further enhance the firm’s corporate finance/restructuring practice in Australia,” Mr Sutton said.

“Our expanded footprint will serve as a strong foundation as we build out our forensic and litigation consulting and technology offerings in the region.”

Commercial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
