AMENDMENTS to the Federal unfair dismissal laws have once again been defeated in the Senate. The Workplace Relations Amendment (Fair Dismissal) Bill 2002 (No2) sought to exclude employees of small businesses with less than 20 employees from coverage by the unfair dismissal provision of the Federal Workplace Relations Act 1996.
