Rait to chair MDA

Julian Rait will chair medical indemnity service provider Medical Defence Australia, which will result from the merger of WA-based MDA National and SA-based Medical Insurance Group Australia.

Professor Rait is an ophthalmologist and chair of MDA National’s board.

Other MDA National board members, who will join the board of the new entity, include Liquor Commission chairman Jim Freemantle, former KPMG partner and current Aquila Resources director Steve Scudamore and Healthway WA chair Rosanna Capolingua.
