Newsmaker – Mike Young

PERTH-BASED iron ore explorer BC Iron Ltd has appointed Mike Young to the position of managing director. BC Iron was unveiled last week following a three-way agreement to combine selected iron ore assets of diversified resources company Consolidated Minerals Ltd and Alkane Exploration Ltd in a newly established focused iron ore company. Mr Young has significant experience in the Australian mining sector, having recently worked as exploration manager for Cazaly Resources, where he was responsible for exploration and resource development of Cazaly’s various projects. Mr Young also worked for Dominion Mining Ltd and was also a founding non-executive director of Bannerman Resources Ltd.
