Mermaid Marine Australia announced today that proposed overtime bans by its employees on the Dampier Supply Base have been lifted.
Earlier this week, the company said employees planned to engage in overtime bans for an indefinite period as part of a claim action relating to negotiations over a new enterprise agreement.
Negotiations between the company and the Maritime Union of Australia are continuing with a view to completing these over the course of the next week.
The current dispute follows industrial action earlier this year, sparking concern that the strong demand for labour in the Pilbara could trigger large wage increases.
