Mark McGowan said he was humbled by a record win tonight, where the party looks set to pick up more than 50 seats in the 59 seat lower house.

“This is a humbling experience," Mr McGowan said.

“Thank you so much.

“To have the support and faith of so many Western Australians in such an important election is a great honour.

“Thank you to the people who voted Labor for the first time in their lives.

“I promise to work for everyone."

The top priority he listed for his second term was bringing back local manufacturing.

Others were affordable TAFE courses, a new women's hospital, safe regional roads and building Metronet.

"Today is an endorsement of perseverance, optimism, hard work, and never giving in," Mr McGowan said.

"We've been given a mandate to deliver, and that's what we intend to do."
