Hallam joins Sandfire

Copper-gold producer Sandfire Resources has appointed former Fortescue Metals Group operations director Paul Hallam as a non-executive director.

Mr Hallam is highly regarded in the Australian mining industry and has over 35 years of experience with blue-chips in Australia and overseas including 15 years of senior executive management experience.

He formerly served in roles with FMG, as executive general manager for developments and projects with Newcrest Mining and as director of Victorian operations for Alcoa Australia.

Chairman of Sandfire Derek La Ferla, said he was pleased Mr Hallam had joined the company’s board.

“He has an outstanding track record, extensive board experience and strong business, project, operational and general management skills. These will be of enormous value to Sandfire as we complete the ramp-up of production at our flagship DeGrussa Copper-Gold Project and move into our next chapter of growth,” he said.
