HHG Legal Group has thrown its support behind Calan Williams and the 20-year-old’s ambitious plan to become a Formula 1 champion.

The partnership involves sponsorship, as well as investment through Williams’ funding vehicle, Calan Williams Pty Ltd (CRW), which includes contributions from property developer and Fremantle Dockers president Dale Alcock.

Perth-based HHG will also become the official legal representative to Williams and CWR.

Williams recently completed two years of racing with Swiss team Jenzer Motorsport in the FIA Formula 3 championship and will participate in the Formula 2 post-season testing in Abu Dhabi next month, ahead of the official championship starting in 2022.

HHG executive chairman and motorsport enthusiast Simon Creek said he was excited about the attention Williams was bringing to Western Australia.

"Calan's journey from go-karting in Perth to the international Formula 3 circuit has been nothing short of incredible,” Mr Creek said in a statement.

“He [Williams] is now within sight of his Formula 1 ambition to be racing alongside the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel.”

Williams’ investment model was set up in 2017 to help support his journey to F1, as drivers are self-funded until that point.

Lead investor, Mr Alcock, described CWR as a professionally run, elite motorsport organisation.

“Calan is a young Perth man with so much talent, focus and energy, he deserves our support,” Mr Alcock said.

“He has continued to grow and develop, tackling every challenge in front of him and is an outstanding character.”

CWR chairman Bill Munro said the program allowed supporters to take part in Williams’ journey to F1 and potentially share in future financial returns.

HHG Legal Group's appointment is a fantastic boost for our operation,” Mr Munro said.

“We are already benefiting from their commercial and corporate expertise, including the implementation of our newest personal investment offering.”

The investment fund also includes contributions from Perth rich-listers Tim and Leonie Baldock and financial planner Troy MacMillan.
