Pindan has recently secured $31 million worth of construction work in the education sector, with contracts spanning Mandurah to the Pilbara.

Pindan executive director, Tony Gerber said the company had won four new contracts.

The largest of these is $11 million worth of upgrades at Hedland High School in South Hedland, which includes an extension to the gymnasium and the internal refurbishment of four existing classrooms, with work to get under way shortly.

Pindan had also secured a $10.4 million contract for the design and construction of a sporting complex at Frederick Irwin Anglican School in Mandurah.

The complex will comprise new sports hall, change rooms, a ground-level staff room, a 34-bay parking area, as well as two classrooms and an exercise area on the upper floor, along with storage and maintenance facilities.

Pindan won a similar sports contract at Geraldton Grammar School.

“We’re pleased to already be on site at Geraldton Grammar where we’re building a new $6.27 million gym for the school community,” Mr Gerber said.

“We’ll also be breaking ground soon at Muresk Institute Campus in Northam where we’re designing and constructing two new machinery sheds and fitting out an office, with this expansion project valued at $3.28 million.

“We’ve also just handed over to Corpus Christi College its state-of-the-art aquatic centre; a $4.8 million multi-purpose facility featuring a covered and heated 25-metre eight-lane indoor lap pool, which has been a part of the future vision of the college since the 1990s.”

The work follows Pindan’s win at the 2020 Master Builders Association Building Excellence Awards for the Mid West region, where it received Best Education Building ($10-$20 million) for its work expanding and upgrading Carnarvon Community College.
