Dr Steve Bodon, non-executive director of Accelerate Resources since February 2022, will become executive technical director. The transition is in line with the company’s strategy of developing its Woodie Woodie North Manganese Project towards a JORC-compliant resource in the short term, and to become the next Australian manganese producer.

Argosy Minerals has appointed current company secretary Andrea Betti as non-executive director. Ms Betti was appointed to the board in October 2015 as a non-executive director and company secretary. She stepped down as a non-executive director in March 2017.

Peter Schwann has resigned as non-executive director of Aruma Resources. Mr Schwann was the company’s founding managing director and led the company since its ASX listing in 2010 until January 2023 when he transitioned to a non-executive director.

Athena Resources has appointed experienced metallurgist Paul Weston and businessman & banker Jeff Swingler as non-executive directors. Mr Weston has over 30 years of experience as a consultant in the mining industry, and Mr Swingler is a Chartered Accountant and banker who was formerly Australia’s senior investment specialist for energy and resources at Austrade in 2014.

Vincent Algar will be retiring as managing director of Australian Vanadium on 14 July, after 9 years with the company.

Susan Park has stepped down as company secretary of BCI Minerals. Stephanie Majteles, joint company secretary since June 2021, will take over as the sole company secretary and remains a general counsel.

CI Resources has advised that Dato’ Sri Lip Sin Tee will transition from executive director to non-executive director, and Lip Jen Tee will transition from non-executive director to executive director.

DRA Global  has appointed Charles Pettit as non-executive director. Mr Pettit is the founder and chief executive of DRA’s largest shareholder, Apex Partners Holdings. He has extensive experience in making long-term investments within engineering, equipment and industrial distribution businesses.

Engineering, construction, and remediation contractor Duratec Australia has appointed Krista Bates as non-executive director. Ms Bates is an experienced international lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions; with comprehensive knowledge of global corporate law, strategic thinking, negotiations, and commercial acumen. She has also been a non-executive and executive director of listed companies on the Australia and London Stock Exchanges.

Nik Senapati has resigned as non-executive director of Elmore. He has served on the board for over 4 years.

Genesis Minerals has appointed Jacqueline Murray as non-executive director, following its acquisition of St Barbara’s Leonora assets. Ms Murray is a partner of Resource Capital Funds.

Ionic Rare Earths has appointed US-based Nitin Tyagi as non-executive director, and non-executive chair Trevor Benson has stepped down from the board after almost 3 years of service. Mr Tyagi is the co-inventor of 12 US patents and vice president of supply chain at battery company Our Next Energy. He will be focusing on optimising supply chain engagement, specifically on relationships in the US and European Union, with an initial key area being the electric vehicle market.

Labyrinth Resources has appointed Jennifer Neild as chief executive, taking over from Matthew Nixon who will transition to a non-executive director following the resignation of Mel Ashton. Ms Neild is a resources executive with over 18 years of experience in exploration across a broad range of commodities in various jurisdictions. Mr Nixon joined the company in February 2021 and was appointed CEO 8 months later.

Mantle Minerals has appointed experienced geologist Robert Mosig as non-executive director. Mr Mosig has over 50 years of experience in gold, platinum, diamond and specialty metals.

Stuart McKenzie has resigned as company secretary and commercial manager of Marvel Gold, with Joanna Kiernan appointed as the new company secretary. Ms Kiernan is a governance professional with over 18 years of experience in the operation and administration of public-listed companies, primarily within the resources sector.

Peter Ruttledge has resigned as joint company secretary of Red Hill Minerals after 18 years in the role. He joined the company since its formation in 2005 and was involved in its public listing.

Peter Torre has resigned as joint company secretary of e-Commerce and digital marketing company RooLife Group.

St Barbara has promoted chief development officer Andrew Strelein to managing director and chief executive, taking over from Dan Lougher who has held the role since November 2022. It has also announced that Sara Prendergast will succeed Lucas Welsh as chief financial officer from September. Mr Welsh has been CFO since August 2021 and is departing following the closure of its Melbourne office. Ms Prendergast joined the company in October 2020 and is the general manager of finance and procurement.

Shannon Coates and Joan Dabon have replaced Jo-Ann Long as joint company secretaries of Talon Energy. Ms Coates has over 25 years of experience in corporate law and compliance, and Ms Dabon is a Chartered Secretary with over 7 years of experience in providing company secretarial and corporate advisory services to ASX & NSX-listed companies across a variety of sectors. They are both from Source Governance, a national company secretarial and governance service provider where Ms Coates is managing director.

Vulcan Energy Resources has made some leadership changes in the new financial year. Cris Moreno will transition from deputy chief executive to managing director and CEO, taking over from Dr Francis Wedin who will become executive chair, and Gavin Rezos steps down as non-executive chair but remains a non-executive director and deputy chair. The changes come as the company embarks on executing and delivering the Zero Carbon Lithium Project which Dr Wedin founded in 2018.

Winchester Energy has appointed experience lawyer John Kenny as non-executive director. Mr Kenny had previously been on the board from March 2014 to May 2018.
