Board Moves February 5, 2024

Arafura Rare Earths has appointed current non-executive director Darryl Cuzzubbo as managing director and chief executive. Mr Cuzzubbo joined the board as a non-executive director in November 2021, and in September 2023 he was providing management support services to the company’s executive leadership team. He takes over from Gavin Lockyer, who will depart after an almost 18-year tenure with the company, initially as a chief financial officer and company secretary before becoming chief executive and managing director in July 2013.

CAQ Holdings has appointed Dr Colin Zhao as non-executive director, and Ivan Cheng has resigned as a non-executive director after over eight years on the board. Dr Zhao has extensive experience in business management and corporate finance.

Klaus Eckhof has resigned as non-executive chair of Kairos Minerals to focus on his other business interests in Africa. Zane Lewis will become non-executive chair in the interim.

PharmAust has appointed biotechnology executive and advisor Dr Thomas Duthy as non-executive director. Dr Duthy has over 19 years of direct financial market and board level experience with ASX-listed companies. He is a director and founder of Nemean Group, which provides corporate advisory and investor relations services in the life sciences and technology sectors. Robert Bishop, who has been on the board since 2013 and is the sixth largest shareholder of the company, transitions from an executive director to a non-executive director.

Greg Lee has resigned as an executive director of Top End Energy. He has been an executive technical director since August 2021.

John Jetter will be resigning from the board  of Venture Minerals at the end of March 2024.  Mr Jetter joined the board in June 2010. He will focus on his role as non- executive chair of Otto Energy, which is currently undergoing a strategic change and requires his full-time attention.

Yojee has appointed Shannon Robinson as non-executive chair and Davide Bosio as non-executive director. Ms Robinson is an experienced company director and a former corporate lawyer with 20 years of corporate experience. She was a non-executive director of Yojee from January 2016 to March 2020, and has since been a member of the advisory board. Mr Bosio is also an experienced company director, with over 23 years of capital markets experience. Following their appointments, David Morton and Ray Lee will retire from the board as non-executive chair and non-executive director respectively.
