Alicanto Minerals has appointed highly experienced resources executive Robert Sennitt as managing director from September. Peter George will transition from managing director to executive director and focus on driving project approvals and community relations for its Sala Project in Sweden, with his wealth of knowledge in developing and operating projects there. Mr Sennitt has over 30 years of experience in the resources industry and was a senior advisor to resource-focused private equity firm Appian Capital Advisory, where he was responsible for sourcing investments and portfolio management in Australia and South East Asia.

Giuseppe Di Franco, co-founder, chief technology officer and director of AssetOwl, has stepped down from the business but will continue to provide strategic oversight and advice to the company. The recent appointments of Diego Tognola as head of engineering and James Heys as head of product is in line with the company’s focus on Pirsee's east coast expansion, particularly as QLD and NSW-compliant versions of Pirsee come online.

Chalice Mining has appointed Jo Gaines as an independent non-executive director. Ms Gaines has extensive experience in inter-governmental negotiations and stakeholder engagement. She was the deputy chief of staff to Premier Mark McGowan, and a leader in the development of the WA Recovery Plan for the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been involved in driving reforms on job creation, economic diversification, energy, training, child protection, health, contracting and procurement, and climate change.
