App/tech business of the week - Tiing

Friday, 6 November, 2015 - 10:49

WHAT ~ An app that provides businesses (real estate, cars, finance, retail) with short alphanumeric codes, or ‘tiings’, for their display advertising.

Consumers tap the tiing into their phone, which takes them directly to a webpage.

Businesses can include a specific call to action, prompting customers to buy their product, view a specific landing page, follow on social media, or make an enquiry via SMS or email.

WHERE ~ Tiing can be downloaded from the App store or Google Play; the website www.tiing.com.au allows consumers to enter tiings and be directed to the advertiser’s page online.

WHO ~ Founders (and brothers) Luke Bresland and Jason Bresland, with their friends Brad Manning, Kyran Florisson and David Hahn

QUOTE ~ “Out on a drive, I spotted a ‘property for sale’ sign. By the time I got home I couldn’t remember who the estate agent was, let alone any details.

How much easier would it have been to punch a few digits into my phone and go straight to the details?"  - Jason Bresland

$ ~ Advertisers pay a set monthly fee for each unique tiing and use it for as long as they want. Tiing is working with a number of real estate agencies, and is looking to raise $250,000-$500,000 for expansion..

Tiing launched October 19 2015 and is ranked #4 on BNiQ Startups list.
