What? ~ A digital technology communications agency with a social impact focus, DrawHistory is a startup based at the new BloomLab co-working space in Crawley.

Place ~ www.drawhistory.com

Who? ~ Founder and creative director Jeffrey Effendi is a law and business graduate from UWA, a Unicef Australia youth ambassador and, until recently, worked in legal practices.

Fellow UWA law and business graduate Angel Chen is partnerships director. The company employs two web developers, a marketing and communications consultant, and a social impact intern.

Quotations ~ “We believe that businesses ultimately grow quicker when their people are involved in meaningful issues they care about; by collaborating, nonprofits are able to drive change quicker, and a business's brand will be organically front of mind" -Jeffrey Effendi

$ ~ Initially bootstrapped and founder funded, the organisation now earns its own income and all costs are covered by the business.

The Market ~ The collaboration of SMEs with not for profits is a relatively new idea, but gaining prominence as companies seek to do more than token corporate social responsibility activities.

The company’s aim is to tap into as many SMEs as possible within Australia and then overseas, establishing DrawHistory ‘hubs’ that tackle local social challenges in partnership with NFPs in various cities and countries around the world.

~~

DrawHistory launched June 24 2015 and is ranked #4th by startup date on BNiQ Startups List.
