Bethanie has appointed Diana Forsyth as chair, after serving as the board’s deputy chair since March 2020. Ms Forsyth has extensive experience in board and leadership roles in industries including health, resources and financial services.  She is on the board of the WA Primary Health Alliance and Health Support Services. Previously, she worked as chief operating officer at Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Cristie Clements was promoted to the role of senior associate in the motor injury insurance team at Panetta McGrath Lawyers. Ms Clements joined the team in April last year from O’Sullivan Partners when the two firms merged.

Andy Wood has a new role at Microsoft. After serving as civilian government lead for Microsoft’s Australia/New Zealand subsidiary, Mr Wood will now be regional business leader at its Asia defence and intelligence business. Before joining Microsoft, he previously worked at Serco and the Department of Finance.

Mark Howett will be director place management at the Perth Cultural Centre. Prior to this, Mr Howett held roles at the Perth Theatre Trust including acting director of venue operations and director of technical services. He has worked with many arts companies including The National Theatre and Royal Opera in the UK, Seattle Opera, Australian Ballet, Australian Opera and Volkbuhne in Berlin.

PKF Perth has promoted Stashu Poliwka to partner of its Perth practice. Mr Stashu has worked at the firm for the past decade as senior manager- business advisory and taxation, engaging with private entities, family business and high net worth individuals.
