Our weekly appointments wrap includes John Driscoll, Janelle Marr, Krista Bates, Lawrence LeeJarrad Grierson, Chad SouthScott Meacock, Robert Carruthers and Tony Monaghan.

John Driscoll is joining the Screenwest Board of Directors as chair. He is replacing Janelle Marr who has held the role since 2015 but must retire as she has reached the end of her term. Mr Driscoll is the founding director of Longreach Consulting, a council member of RAC (WA) and deputy chairman of Rebound WA.

Lavan is welcoming two new partners to the firm. Krista Bates has been appointed as a corporate partner and has in-depth understanding of the nuances of investing in emerging markets after spending a decade living and working in Africa. Lawrence Lee has expertise in restructuring, insolvency and litigation in the financial services and energy and resources sectors and will be a reconstruction and insolvency partner.

Jarrad Grierson has been appointed to lead CBRE Perth’s industrial and logistics division. Mr Grierson has worked in property for more than 20 years. His most recent role was as senior director of industrial with Knight Frank Perth. Over the last 12 months, Mr Grierson has completed more than $120 million worth of transactions in Perth’s industrial and logistics market.

Stockbroker DJ Carmichael has promoted Chad South from head of desk to director of corporate finance. Mr South will provide a focus on equity capital markets, opportunities and new offers. He has over 16 years of experience in the finance industry providing advice to both wholesale and retail clients on how to build their wealth using ASX listed equities.

Scott Meacock has been appointed to business law firm Hall & Wilcox as special counsel to lead the commercial dispute resolution team in Perth. Mr Meacock has more than seven years’ litigation experience and advises on a variety of corporate and commercial disputes and insolvency matters.

Robert Carruthers is joining the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia as director of policy and advocacy. Mr Carruthers previously worked at BHP. Tony Monaghan will also be joining the team as the director of communications and campaigns. He has held senior positions in television newsrooms and has experience in government and corporate communications.
