Steven Birkbeck will be chair of Cannaponics’ advisory board. Mr Birkbeck is best known for being founder and chief executive of sandalwood company Mt Romance in the early 2000s. He is now involved in Denmark-based restaurant The Dam and Cannabis Botanical Distillery, which is run by his family. He was previously the chair and managing director of Atlas Pearls.

Relationships Australia WA has appointed Danielle Newport as chief executive. Ms Newport was previously the chief executive of WA’s largest disability services provider Activ Foundation. She is a director of Workability International and the WA Aids Council.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia has appointed Anna Arabindan-Kesson as senior research fellow. Professor Arabindan-Kesson was previously a historian of African American and Black diasporic art with a joint appointment in the Departments of African American Studies and Art and Archaeology at Princeton University. She has previously held positions at Yale University and Temple University.

Warren Harding has joined Modis as vice president of their national resources and healthcare industries. Mr Harding was a member of the Sustainable Health Review, is a Professor in Dementia Care Macquarie University, co- founder of digital wearable company Medivitals, and is chair of not-for-profit Alzheimer’s WA.  

Chris Malcolm will be general manager, data and open banking at P&N Group. Mr Malcolm previously worked at several roles at Great Southern Bank including head of open banking, chief data officer and head of customer insights. Prior to this, he worked at Cuscal.
