Richard Alston has been appointed to the board of Amex Resources as non-executive chairman.
Mr Alston is a former federal minister for communications, information technology and the arts, and a former Australian High Commissioner to the UK.
He is currently a director of CQS Investment Management, Nanuk Asset Management and Balmoral Gardens.
