INSURANCE giant HBF and information technology consulting firm AeM Consulting Group have formed an alliance.

Under the partnership, HBF has taken a minority shareholding in AeM Consulting Group.

AeM specialises in electronic business design, project management, business intelligence and strategic consulting.

AeM CEO Ian McFarlane said benefits included increased

financial backing and involvement in the e-health space.

“It provides new opportunities for consulting and project management assignments nationwide as well as offshore,” Mr McFarlane said.

HBF managing director Michael Gurry said the alliance was an important step in furthering HBF’s IT expertise, as well as keeping abreast of emerging technologies.

The new alliance will operate separately to the internal HBF information systems division.
