WA Power Conference

On Tuesday September 23 and Wednesday September 24, Terrapinn is holding the 7th Annual WA Power Conference at the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel.

The conference has been designed to empower senior executives with the latest information on areas such as electricity contracts; co-generation opportunities in gas and electricity; financing power projects; new commercial opportunities in power generation; marketing gas in the Burrup Peninsular; and the State Governments role in delivering energy reform benefits to the marketplace.

Keynote speakers for the conference include, Western Power managing director Stephen van der Mye, who will speak about identifying opportunities during Western Power's disaggregation; Office of Gas Regulation executive director Peter Kolf, who will speak about moving from WA’s power monopoly to an open industry; Chamber of Minerals and Energy chief executive officer Tim Shanahan, who will talk about attracting new players to WA’s resources sector; and Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier the honourable Mark McGowan MLA, who will talk about delivering benefits of competitive pricing to the industry.

The conference will also feature case studies of energy projects in WA and panel discussions which will be moderated by senior executives of EPIC Energy, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA, ACIL Tasman, and Energy Users Association of Australia.
