Visiomed contract win

PERTH biotechnology company Visiomed Group Ltd has been selected by Siemens Medical Solutions, one of the world’s largest engineering and medical imaging companies, as its Australian dealer for a range of medical imaging systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Visiomed Group will establish a business unit to detail and sell Siemens medical imaging products such as mammography, X-ray surgery, selected computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging products, to hospitals and diagnostic clinics around the nation.

Visiomed’s chief executive officer, Dr Saliba Sassine, said the agreement with Siemens was expected to generate an initial annual sales revenue of around $6 million.

He said the distribution agreement took the Visiomed Group into the top end of the medical imaging market.
