Two premium new offerings

Tuesday, 18 October, 2005 - 22:00

This week’s edition of WA Business News carries two initiatives to help our readers do business – a weekly business issues case study and a monthly liftout for the business of travel.

Our new weekly case study will focus on issues confronted by those who run or own their own enterprise. This week’s is on page 32.

Experienced reporter Mark Mentiplay will oversee this important development, which follows research telling us that readers appreciate stories of success, not just high-profile results but also the small triumphs over everyday adversity.

This week’s column is about a small accounting firm which outgrew its technology.

Obviously we are on the hunt for more of these cases studies, so be sure to get in touch if you have a story to tell, or know someone else who does.

In the middle of the newspaper we have the first of our new Business Class supplements.

Experienced travel and aviation writers Geoffrey Thomas and Christine Forbes Smith will cover everything the regular business traveller needs to know.

From news about shifts in air travel to the latest holiday deals and local great escapes, Business Class is for those who travel for work or pleasure.

This week’s launch supplement reveals a growing new class for long-haul travellers seeking a cost-effective upgrade from economy. Premium Economy is very much back to the future for business travellers who can remember the early days of the class, but it’s become a much more frequent service out of Perth in recent times.

Business Class also looks Air New Zealand’s upgrade for long-haul fliers to the US and how airlines are looking to let you use your mobile phone en route.

For those looking for a break, look out for our best deals, every month.
