Transfield secures $240m contracts

Transfield Services has announced $240 million of work with existing blue chip clients across the Australia and New Zealand region including a significant contract with the WA Department of Transport.

Transfield says it has been named the preferred tender status on a six year $88 million contract for maritime services and asset management with the Department of Transport.

The company also won a two year $80 million extension with Sydney Water to provide mechanical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance services and an annual major capital renewals program.

It was awarded a five year $49 million contract to maintain 4,000 telecommunications sites nationwide for Chorus in New Zealand.

The company won a two year contract with Housing New Zealand Corporation for $23 million to maintain 7,500 public premises in South Auckland.

"Our capability to build upon existing relationships to broaden the scope of services we provide is what gives us our diversified earnings profile," chief executive Peter Goode said in a statement.
