Top performers at breakfast

TWO of WA’s top business people have been snared by WA Business News for its next success and leadership event, to be held next month.

AlintaGas chief executive officer Bob Browning and Poynton and Partners managing director Mark Barnaba will feature at a breakfast function on August 15 entitled Energy and Enterprise.

Mr Browning has run WA’s third biggest company, measured by revenue, since March last year, joining AlintaGas about six months after it listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Before joining AlintaGas he spent eight years with Utilicorp United Inc and was responsible for change management, strategic planning and business operations.

In an earlier part of his career, Mr Browning worked for Coca Cola in consumer retail sales and distribution.

Having only recently been privatised, AlintaGas is highly regarded in the market as a utility with significant potential as the energy market in WA is deregulated.

Mr Barnaba is one of WA’s most successful investment bankers and management consultants, offering business and strategic advice to some of the State’s leading corporations, as well as those interstate.

Earlier this year he was named one of WA Business News’ 40under40 winners and shared the crown of 1st Amongst Equals with tourism operator Manny Papadoulis.
