This week's property round-up

This week, Reiwa members reported an increase in weekly sales to 602. The overall 23 per cent increase in sales over the week is attributed to a 27 per cent increase in sales for houses and 30 per cent for units.

However vacant land sales were down by 20 per cent over the week. Total properties listed for sale remained unchanged in percentage terms at 14,926. Listings for houses have lifted by a 1 per cent, while unit and vacant land listings have remained unchanged in percentage terms.

The total number of listings recorded this week is 2 per cent lower compared with four weeks ago but is 4 per cent higher than the same time last year.

Turning to the rental market, Reiwa members reported total properties available for rent increased by 2 per cent over the week, to 10,781. This is 3 per cent higher than levels four weeks ago and 34 per cent higher than the same time last year.
