Reiwa members reported an increase in weekly sales to 671 this week.

The overall 60 per cent increase in sales over the week is attributed to a 62 per cent increase in sales for houses, 47 per cent for units and 64 per cent for land. After a drop-off in sales last week, which may have been attributed to the Easter break, weekly sales for this week are at highest levels so far this year.

Total properties listed for sale recorded a marginal decrease of 1 per cent to 15,234 this week from 15,460 last week. Listings for houses and land have lifted 2 per cent, while unit listings have decreased marginally, by 1 per cent.

The total number of listings recorded this week is 2 per cent higher than four weeks ago and 11 per cent higher compared with the same time last year.

Turning to the rental market, Reiwa members reported total properties available for rent increased by 2 per cent over the week to 9,798.

This is 4 per cent higher than levels seen four weeks ago and 45 per cent higher than the same time last year.
